Our New House!

We bought a house! This has been a busy month of looking for houses, purchasing one, and all the paperwork and fun that goes with it. We are busy packing up our condo now, and really excited to move in to our new house next week. We're going to have room for company now, so you can all plan your trips to Vancouver :) It's only about 10 minutes from where we currently live, so we're not moving too far.

And the new showroom is almost set up...

Just a few photos of our new showroom set-up so far. Still have a few things to set up, but at least this gives you an idea Mom, since you mostly saw the empty showroom when you were out here helping us! Feels great to have some more space.

New Showroom Part 2

The wall is down - one step over!

I picked up the hammer for a quick few taps. But it was harder than it looks to nail into concrete floor so that was Gerard's big job!

We moved half the wall back a few feet to create a small storage space.

And put the slat wall back up...

This is Gerard's handiwork. Love the cable wires securing the half-wall to the ceiling. Looks pretty good I think!

Pizza dinner so we can keep working longer. It's all coming together now!

New Showroom Renos

Last week we renovated our new showroom. I should say, Gerard, Shonna and Mom did all the work and I sat around with my laptop.

This wall went straight across the showroom before we moved in. The previous tenant had a very large office area in the back, which we needed for display room instead. So the wall came down!

And the wall is gone...

Goodbye Aaron & Michelle :(

Aaron, Michelle, Bentley & Ethan moved to ON last week, so we had a little goodbye party for them complete with music from Aaron, Angharad and Anna. We'll miss you four!!

Thanksgiving Goodness 2009

I was quite distressed when I discovered I may not have turkey dinner again this year, because it was a little late to start thawing a turkey two days before! We were so lucky to get to spend the day at Fultons with Hewitts and other friends.

And the feast laid out! This has to be one of my favourite meals that I look forward to every year...maybe next year I will attemp to host Thanksgiving.

After dinner we enjoyed a walk in the neighborhood, it was beautiful fall weather.

Some even managed to go for a swim in the outdoor pool on this October day! Thanks for a fun festive Thanksgiving everyone!

Victoria in the Fall

Gerard and I spent last weekend in Victoria. I had some work appointments Thursday and Friday, and thoroughly enjoyed Gerard coming with me for a change! We did a lot of walking around downtown in the fresh fall air. It was the first weekend off in a long while.

We forgot our camera, so just got a few photos on the phone. Murchies for Saturday breakfast, Pagliacci's for pasta, kept the car parked all day Saturday...made for a great Victoria mini-vacation.



We sat and watched some cruise ships for a while in the sun...
